For shoppers

Why Duck Duck Goose?

'Tis the season for consignment sales! If you've never shopped one before, you're in for quite an experience, here's why our shoppers (and consignors) keep coming back.

๐Ÿ› What makes a consignment sale special?

Consignment sales are different from consignment stores. A store is open year-round and sets its own prices, like shopping a boutique, only secondhand. A consignment sale happens just a few days a season, and every item is priced by the mom who owned it. That's why the prices are so good! It's a fun, budget-friendly way to buy the next season's clothing for your child: spring sales offer spring and summer clothing, and fall sales offer fall and winter.

๐Ÿ‘ถ Way more than clothes

Consignment sales are also the perfect place to find baby items that are only used for a short while and sold gently used, bouncy seats, play mats, Bumbo seats, swings, co-sleepers, and pack-n-plays. High chairs, strollers, baby gates, toddler beds, books, cloth diapers, feeding supplies, and baby and toddler bedding are all great finds too. And don't forget outdoor toys - they're often used for only a season or two before being outgrown!

โœจ The Golden Rule Guarantee

Your consigned items are eligible for our Golden Rule Guarantee: if your item is lost and we have not sold it for you, we will pay for it. Here's how it works:

  1. Use detailed tags with a substantial description, brand, color, sex, and size. A detailed tag lets us match a lost tag back to your item.
  2. Generate and bring a Drop Off report of the items you've listed in the sale.
  3. Bring your items in numerical order, matching your printed inventory sheet, it makes check-in faster and smoother.
  4. Drive-Thru Drop Off participants are not eligible for the Golden Rule Guarantee.
  5. Donated items are not eligible to be guaranteed.
  6. You can guarantee all of your items or just certain ones. Because guaranteed items take longer to check in, we suggest guaranteeing only your higher-priced items, just tell your check-in staff which ones. Pricing your guaranteed items one after another (so they're grouped together on the Drop Off report) speeds things up even more.
  7. Unsold items must be picked up by the end of the sale, in person, by the participating consignor. If a husband, friend, sister, or anyone else picks up your items, the guarantee is void.
  8. Questions or disputes must be raised with DDG Consignment Events, Inc. at pick-up, including any missing items, before leaving the event location. Once you've left pick-up, no disputes or claims can be made.
